FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT SIDING:
What types of siding do you install, steel or vinyl?
We install both vinyl and steel in horizontal as well as vertical patterns.
Do I have to remove my old siding before the new siding is installed?
Usually not. Some sidings do have to be removed if they are exceptionally thick and we cannot
get the new siding to lie flat over the old siding.
Will this new siding help to insulate my house better?
New siding creates a good “weather barrier” and stops a lot of drafts and air leakage.
Siding will create very little “R” value for your house. Most people do notice some energy savings.
How do I keep the siding clean and looking nice?
Wash your siding just like you wash your car. A soft brush and a mild detergent is an
easy way to clean your home. There is a special solution for hard to remove stains that
will be explained in your manufacturer’s warranty.
What do I do about the window trim, the eaves and the overhangs? I don’t want to paint them anymore.
At the time we install siding, we can cover the window and door trim along with the overhangs.
I don’t want my house to look the same as my neighbors. How do I create a new look?
There are new styles of siding on the market. 6-inch and 7-inch panels, as well as specialty products,
can be used to set apart and individualize any project.
